Help on new EU regulations as from may 2004... Have been reading a lot about Cyprus joining the Eu in may of this year and it seems unclear what the directives will be on working/living in Cyprus. Will duty free cars be a thing of the past, will it be easy for a brit to enter Cyprus and set up business/become freelance without visas/permits etc. I love the Island of Cyprus and think it is an ideal time to be thinking of a change of scenery and Cyprus fits the bill. If anyone knows of the new Eu regulations or has any info on them It would be greatly appreciated. Also is Larnaca or Limassol better suited for a young couple (25 & 29) who are looking to meet new friends and live a sociable lifestyle i.e going out/joining a gym etc.. Limassol seems more cosmopolitan and lively whilst Larnaca seems more like a business town but I have heard that Larnaca is also going to be the place to be as house prices are souring so much in the other towns that Larnaca is now getting more and more developed?
